More about the organisation:
Defeat Endometriosis Foundation has been operating since 2018. Its president is Lucyna Jaworska-Wojtas, who has spent many years spreading awareness of endometriosis in Poland – even before the foundation was established, she collaborated with the Endometriosis Association and was active in the Polish Endometriosis Association.
Our goal is to help endometriosis patients and their families. We provide assistance in finding the right doctor – we maintain a list of specialists and clinics, both private and public, where patients can count on specialized care. We are also involved in spreading endometriosis awareness and working with government agencies to create an endometriosis treatment plan.
In October 2021, we launched a signature collection for the „6 demands for 3 million” petition on endometriosis treatment and diagnosis. The petition, signed by over 5,700 people, went to the Ministry of Health on December 3.
We conduct a series of webinars „We carry the knowledge”, which include talks with specialists – from gynecologists, thoracic surgeons, through nutritionists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, to a meeting with a psychologist or sex educators. We managed to talk about endometriosis diagnostics, adenomyosis and the activity of the Parliamentary Group for Endometriosis. Together with IFMSA Poland we organized a series of lectures about endometriosis for medical students and health care professionals called Yellowomb. As part of the campaign, a pilot study was conducted on a group of medical students. All of our materials are available publicly and for free on social media.
We are guests at health promotion events – in 2021 we visited Gdynia during the „Take care of your health” Prevention Day, as well as Poznań as part of the „40+ Prevention” pilot program.
We encourage you to contact us – every story and question we receive motivates us to keep going. You can reach us on social media or by email:

We also deal with integration of the community of patients and their families. We continuously organize a number of educational and informational events, conferences, meetings, workshops, talks, we conduct screening tests, print educational materials (including a free monthly magazine), organize rehabilitation and educational trips, provide psychological support, equip patients with equipment (e.g. glucometers), as well as fight against loneliness and social exclusion. More about the organisation:

The Children’s Heart Foundation has been saving the lives of children with congenital heart defects for over 17 years. The mission of the Foundation is to promote knowledge about CHD, their diagnosis and treatment.
The main task of the Children’s Heart Foundation is to subsidize the treatment and rehabilitation of our wards. To date, we have donated over 64 million PLN to children with heart defects! Under the wings of the Foundation grew up a generation of children. Today, some of them are born every day to 10 children with heart defects, 3 require immediate surgery, cardiac surgeons perform 3500 operations a year. Estimation in Poland lives 300 thousand people with WWS. Congenital heart defect is the most common birth defect in children. Some have a genetic basis, others arise during the development of the heart for reasons not yet explained. There are more than 40 types of heart defects.
Since 2004, we have donated over PLN 64 million for the treatment and rehabilitation of children with heart defects and PLN 3.2 million for the purchase of medical equipment for pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery.
We have purchased e.g. renal replacement units, ECG monitors, incubators, syringe pumps, defibrillators, hospital beds. Last year the first cardiac pacing laboratory was opened at the Children’s Health Institute, where future cardiologists and anaesthesiologists will be trained. The Children’s Heart Foundation has become a partner in this project.
We conduct an information campaign „My unusual heart”, which aims to remind that congenital heart defects can affect every child. Some defects have a genetic basis, others arise during the development of the heart for reasons not yet explained. Today, thanks to huge progress in prenatal diagnostics and cardiac surgery, we can save children with even very complex heart defects – which was almost impossible a dozen years ago.
Serce Dziecka Foundation operates and accomplishes its mission thanks to the support of its Donors, who put their trust in the Foundation by giving donations and 1% of their tax. It is the generosity of the Donors that allows us to finance the rehabilitation and treatment of children with congenital heart defects and to equip Polish hospitals with specialized medical equipment that saves the life and health of young patients. Thank you!

Thank you!

More about the organisation:

The Polish Diabetes Association is an organization of diabetic patients, their families and friends focused on the problem of diabetes mellitus – a chronic metabolic disease, which although not contagious, bears the hallmarks of a worldwide epidemic.

The primary statutory objective of the Polish Diabetes Association is to educate people with diabetes and their loved ones about living with the disease. We also deal with integration of the community of patients and their families. In addition, we represent diabetics before state authorities and strive to achieve the best possible conditions and availability of treatment, as well as promote diabetes awareness in the society.
All this is not only for the patients themselves, but also for their caregivers, who often without proper guidance and education are not able to properly care for their patient.

According to official data, only about 30% of patients are aware of the disease.
Hence, our Association’s mission is to help patients in their difficult journey of fighting a rare disease and to spread knowledge about Marfan syndrome among doctors and patients who are sick but don’t know it. Our slogan is #AneurysmGrowSilence because we #BreakTheSilence. This one sentence encapsulates the entire essence of our activities. We need to constantly raise awareness, educate and raise awareness. This applies to both the diagnosed and the undiagnosed.

More about the organisation:

The Association of Youth and People with Mental Problems, Their Families and Friends POMOST was established in 2000 to help young people and their families struggle with mental problems.

We believe that helping those entering adulthood as well as supporting their families is an opportunity to prevent the permanent disability of people with mental illness.

We want the people we help to be able to deal effectively with their own limitations and thus have a chance for personal and professional development just like all young people.

NZOZ Pomost Clinic was launched by a decision of the Board of Directors of the Association of Youth and Persons with Mental Problems, Their Families and Friends „Pomost” on January 1, 2004. Initially it responded to the demand of members of the Association and until the end of 2008 provided services under contract with the National Health Fund. Since 2009, the Clinic transformed into a private Psychological Clinic and expanded its activities for other clients.

Within the framework of a project financed by the budget of the Local Government of the Lodz Voivodeship, the Pomost Clinic offers free psychological and psychiatric assistance to refugees from Ukraine.
